Bibliometric Analysis of Research in Mathematics Education using Scopus Database

This study presents a bibliometric analysis of research on mathematics education from 1980 through 2020. The purpose the is to provide scientific data distribution pattern journals, most prolific authors, countries, institutions, current topics, potential international collaboration, and direction research. A total 12 670 articles were retrieved Scopus database number publications predicted increase further based performance indicator cumulative articles. main topic interest in discipline usually centered problem solving, professional development teachers, curriculum, while for subjects several topics that received greatest attention included algebra, proof, calculus, technology, geometry, modeling.
